OTT IPTV is the most cost effective way to broadcast your linear and VOD television content to viewers around the world. But sometimes, an independent OTT IPTV system can be too expensive for many networks to launch, especially for a single channel.

As an alternative, PathFinder offers a Shared OTT IPTV Platform which allows for the broadcast of live (linear) television content as well as VOD content, just like a typical OTT IPTV system. The Shared Platform uses the same architecture provided with PathFinder’s turnkey solution, but allows the network to launch on our system rather than incurring the cost of establishing an independent system.

The main advantage of the shared system is the cost savings as you only pay a fraction of the total system cost. The other major advantage is that PathFinder operates the entire system. We have a full NOC with an antenna farm to downlink satellite feeds, fiber connectivity, backup satellite uplink for broadband connectivity, emergency power, tech monitoring and call center/customer support.
Additionally, PathFinder can handle the configuration, shipping, logistics and customer support of viewers and Set Top Boxes (STBs). All the network has to do is tell PathFinder where to ship the STBs and what they are authorized to view.

Network Operation Center (NOC)

As detailed below, Pathfinder will provide the facilities and personnel to operate the subscriber management system. Specifically, PathFinder will:

Operate, support and manage the Network Operation Center (NOC) that delivers to the Set Top Boxes the television signals via the 24/7 linear channel internet distribution system.
Enter customer information into the system to authorize a STB for viewing your channels.
Oversee and monitor the network streaming feeds.
Perform diagnostics and testing to support the proper operation of the system.
Provide logistics services to manage and effect the set up and deliver of Set Top Boxes to your viewers as you direct.
Provide customer service and support to your viewers.
